Bathua Paratha Recipe - Ritu's Kitchen| How to Make Bathua Paratha (Chenopodium Flatbread)

BATHUA PARATHA


Chenopodium(Bhthua) provides heat to the body. Our body remains warm in winters by eating it.  Paratha, Raita, vegetables can be made with it.
Those who are suffering from joint pain, lack of iron. It is very good for all of them.
It contains magnesium, iron, calcium potassium, vitamin A ,C and B6.

Quantity - 4 Paranthas

Ingredients



  • Wheat flour - 1 cup
  • Bathua (finely chopped) - 2 cups                           
  • Salt taste
  • Red Chilli Powder - 1/4 Teaspoon
  • Black Pepper Powder - 2 Pinches
  • Flaxseeds -1 1/2 teaspoon
  • Ghee or oil for Tawa 
  • Wheat flour for rolling the paratha

How to make


First, wash the Chenopodium(Bathua) thoroughly and keep it aside for a while.


How to make a filling


Put the finely chopped Chenopodium (Bhthua) then add flaxseeds, salt, red chilies and black pepper to it (even if you use green chili)


How to make parathas


To a large bowl add Wheat flour and Start adding water, little by little until the dough comes together.

Knead a smooth dough. Transfer dough to an airtight box apply some oil on top, cover and let it rest for 15 to 20 minutes.

Divide the prepared dough into 4 equal balls. 
Meanwhile, heat a Tawa on medium flame.

Roll dough ball into a round circle and then put stuffing on it. Don't overfill otherwise it will be difficult to roll it.



bring all the edges together.




Flatten the dough ball using a rolling pin. roll the dough into a circle of 7-8 inch diameter.  Use the rolling pin with light hands. If the masala is coming out, then apply dry flour.




put the rolled paratha onto the hot Tawa.



wait for a few seconds then flip it to the other side and drizzle some oil or ghee(clarified butter).
 again flip it now oily side is down, cook it by pressing with a spatula.




apply oil or ghee on top side then flip again pressing with a spatula and cook till they are slightly brown.


Repeat with the remaining dough balls.
Serve it with curd and butter.




Note

Adjust the Quantity of spices according to your taste.
