Methi Paratha


Nature has provided us with many green vegetables, one of which is Fenugreek. There are many benefits of it, those who are troubled by stomach problems it's a boon for them, problems like constipation, gas and some children have insects in their stomach all can be benefited by its consumption. Nature has given us treatment for all the diseases in our kitchen. A proper diet can increase our immunity. Today, as our children are attracted to unhealthy food then it's our duty to make healthy food tasty. In this episode, I fed my children with Fenugreek Leaves Parathas. This paratha is really tasty. You should also try it, your children will love it as well.

Serving - 6 Parathas


Ingredients


  • Wheat flour - 1 1/2 cup
  • Green Fenugreek (Methi) (finely chopped) -1 Cup
  • Tomatoes (chopped) - 2
  • Garlic Paste - 1 1/2 teaspoon
  • Red chilies - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 Teaspoon
  • Cumin seeds - 1 Teaspoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil - 1 Tablespoon 
  • Oil/ ghee for applying on  the Paratha
  • Water as per requirement


 How to make


First of clean and wash the fenugreek then cut it.
Now heat the oil in a pan.
add cumin seeds to it.
Then add garlic paste, saute for 1 minute.
Add chopped tomatoes and saute for 2 minutes.


Add turmeric, red chili, salt, and a spoon of water and saute until tomatoes get mashed.
Now add chopped fenugreek and saute it.



Cook on medium flame in the process.
When masala leaves oil, turn off the gas.


 Let it cool for some time.
put the flour into this pan and knead the dough.


 If water is needed only then add water to it, otherwise it is not required.
 Cover the dough for 5 to 7 minutes.
Now make medium size ball of the dough.



dust some flour and roll them to round shape. ( if you like to make methi roti.)
While making paratha apply ghee and fold it in the desired shape.



Now put it on the hot tawa on a medium flame.

wait for few seconds then flip it to the other side and drizzle some oil or ghee( clarified butter).
 again flip it now oily side is down, cook it by pressing with a spatula.

apply oil or ghee on top side then flip again pressing with a spatula and cook till they are slightly brown.



Serve with curd, butter or Garlic Chutney
