Summer Drink| Holi Special Drink -
Thandai
Makes for 6 people
Making time - 20 minutes
Ingredients
- 1 Liter - Milk
- 4 Tablespoon - Sugar \ Mishri ( 7 tablespoons)(optional)
- 20-25-Almonds
- 20-25 - Cashew nuts
- 20-25 - Pistachios
- 3 tablespoons- Melon seeds
- 1 tablespoon- Chironji
- 3 tablespoons -Poppy Seeds
- 8-10 - Cardamom
- 1 teaspoon - Fennel
- 7-8 - Peppercorns
- About 20 dry petals of Roses
How To Make
Boil the milk in a pan allow it the cool completely.Wash almonds, cashews, pistachios, melon seeds and Chironji with water, soak them in water for 4 to 5 hours.
In the second bowl Wash Poppy seeds, fennel, cardamom, rose petals, black pepper with water, soak it in clean water for 4-5 hours.
After soaking, grind the Poppyseeds, Fennel, Cardamom, Rose petals and Black pepper with 1/4 cup Milk.
Filter this mix with a sieve.
Remove the peel of almonds. Now grind all the dry fruits, Sugar well with the Poppyseeds paste.
Thandai paste is ready.
