Besan Modak with Jaggery
Many types of sweets are made at home during festivals. Today, when I was making it, the younger son gave it the shape of a Modak. If you want, you can also make a round laddoo. He made them with full devotion that made me very happy. Gram flour contains a good amount of protein. It has less calories than wheat, It includes fiber, phosphorus, magnesium vitamin 6, potassium, iron etc. Gram flour has the properties of controlling hunger and mood. Laddus made from gram flour and jaggery is very good for our health.
Total time - 40 minutes
Quantity - 20 Modak / Ladoo
Ingredients
Gram flour - 2 Cup
Milk -1 / 4 Cup
Clarified Butter (Ghee) - 1/2 Cup + 2 Teaspoons
Jaggery - 150 gm ( 3/4 cup approx)
Water -2 Tablespoons
Raisin - a handful
Melon seeds - 3 Teaspoon
How To Make
Mix gram flour,1/4 cup ghee and milk in a large bowl with the help of hands and keep aside for 20 minutes.
Keep the pan on low flame.
Put gram flour and 1/4 cup ghee in the pan, roast it and when the smell comes out, turn off the gas.
Take another pan to keep it on medium flame and put 2 tablespoons ghee, 2 tablespoons of water and jaggery make a thin syrup.
Strain the syrup and heat it again.
Do not make the syrup sticky
Add the melon seeds and raisins.
Now add roasted gram flour in it. Stir it continuously.
Turn off the gas immediately, Grease your palm with ghee, take a portion of the mixture and start making Ladoos.
OR
Give it the shape of a Modak.
Cool completely.
Delicious Gram flour Ladoo / Modak is ready for you.
