Punjabi style mushroom masala / MUSHROOM MASALA CURRY (Healthy) / mushroom masala( no cream added)

MUSHROOM MASALA


I have made this vegetable in sesame oil, if you want, you can make it in butter or ghee as well.Believe me it is more delicious without butter and cream.

Makes -4 Servings



 Ingredients To Marinate The Mushroom:




  • 300 gm  Mushroom
  • 1/4 teaspoon  Kashmiri Mirch powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon - Cumin powder
  • 2 tablespoons - Curd
  • Salt to taste


Ingredients For Gravy



  • 1- large Onions (sliced)
  • 1- Green Chillies (Chopped)
  •  2 Tomatoes (chopped)
  • 1/2 inch- Ginger
  • 7-8 cloves - Garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric power
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon- Kashmiri mirch powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red chili  powder
  • 1 tablespoon Coriander ( chopped)
  •  1 1/4 cup Water 
  •  1 tablespoon Sesame oil



1 tablespoon sesame oil for mushroom

How To Marinate The Mushroom


First, cut the mushroom in the desired shape.

Mix the Curd, Cumin powder, Kashmiri mirch powder, salt`.

Put the mixture on top of the mushroom and keep it  for half an hour.



How To Make The Gravy:



Put 1 tbsp oil in a pan.

When oil becomes hot add cumin seeds  when  it's color turn golden brown add ginger ,garlic,green chili and onion in it and saute it for 2 minutes on medium flame

.

Now add chopped tomatoes and saute for 2 minutes.

Add 1/4 cup water and cover the pan.

Now add salt, Kashmiri mirch powder, Turmeric power, Coriander Powder and red chilli powder and 1/4 cup water and saute for 2 minutes.



Then turn off the gas.

When the gravy masala cools down, grind them into the grinder.


Put oil in the same pan. Now put the marinated mushroom in it and fry it for 3 to  4 minutes



Add gravy paste in it and saute for 2 minutes now add 200 ml water and saute for 7-8 minutes

Now add chopped coriander.

And switch off the gas.

You can serve it with hot chapati/ naan /paratha whichever you want to eat.
