How to Make Dulce de Leche
It’s delicious over ice cream, cakes, brownies, cookies, anything that’s crying out for caramel sauce. I have made too many Indian sweets with it.
Total time - 60 minutes
Quantity - 600 ml
Ingredients
- Milk – 1 1/2 liters
- Ghee – 2 tablespoons
- Sugar – 1 1/2 Cup
- Baking soda 1/2 teaspoon
- Vanilla Essence - 1 teaspoon
How To Make Dulce de Leche
First, we will take a heavy bottom pan.
Apply 1 tablespoon of clarified butter in it.
Now put milk and sugar in it.
Boil the milk on high flame.
Stir occasionally.
Milk will start to thicken. it takes approx 50 minutes.
Now add baking soda and keep stirring continuously.
At this time, the foam will appear in very high quantity so keep stirring it.
We will filter this caramel/ Dulce de Leche from the sieve.
Cool and put it in a glass jar, keep it in the fridge for 25 to 30 days.
It can be used to make a Semolina Ladoo, Coconut Ladoo etc
