Stuffed Onion with Gravy




Who does not know the properties of onion, You just can`t ignore the benefits of it just because of the smell.
Presented in a special style, the taste of which will make you happy.




Ingredients



Onions - 8

For filling



  • Onions -2 tablespoons (finely chopped)
  • Gram flour(Besan) - 2 tbsp
  • Fennel - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Cumin seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Asafoetida - 1/4 tsp
  • Red Chilli Powder - 1/2 Tablespoon
  • Turmeric - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Dry mango powder(Amchoor Powder) - 1/2 Tablespoon
  • Oil - 1 1/2 tablespoon
  • Salt to taste


For gravy



  • Onion
  • Tomatoes - 1
  • Curd - 1/4 cup
  • Kashmiri red chilIi - 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Coriander Powder - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt to taste
  • Kastoori methi(Fenugreek leave)-2 teaspoon
  • Garam Masala Powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Oil - 1 tablespoons
  • Water - 3/4 cups


How To Make Stuffed Onion

Scoop the onion with the help of knife or scooper.

Of the onion which came out of it, take 2 tablespoons from it and

chop finely.







For filling


put the 1/2 tablespoon oil in a pan, when oil is heated, add cumin, fennel, and asafoetida and fry it.

Add onion and fry till it becomes pink in color.

Put the gram flour in it and roast it well. When the gram flour becomes roasted then the fragrance will come.


Then add dry spices and mix well and turn off the gas.



When the filling masala cools down, fill it in the onion.

Now heat the 1 tablespoon oil in the same pan and put the stuffed onion and let it cook well on low flame.



When the onion starts to become light brown, turn it over and let it cook.


When both sides become light brown, turn off the gas and put all the onions in a plate.

To make gravy


Grate the onion, tomatoes, curd, turmeric, coriander,Kasmiri chilli powder in a mixer.


Now heat 1 tablespoon of oil in the same pan and fry the masala.


When the masala leaves the oil,


then add water and let a boil on high flame.


Now add garam masala and Kasoori methi ( fenugreek leave), stirring it.
After boiling, turn down the gas and keep it covered.


Be careful, don`t let the onion thaw too much, just that its layers open easily.
stuffed onion is ready.


Serve with stuffed onion Roti or Naan.
