 Dal Makhani is an important part of Punjabi Cuisine. Urad dal is rich in fiber, protein and it is eaten with roti, paratha or rice. Dal Makhani is always made by adding too much butter but I have added only two spoons of cream to this dal.

Green pea is a popular vegetable.  It contains adequate amounts of fiber, iron, zinc, copper and antioxidants.

 Peas also contain a good amount of vitamin-K, which makes our bones strong.

It can help protect against some diseases, such as heart disease and cancer, so I make pea soup for my family in the winter.  It is a healthy and tasty soup.

I make it in an earthen pot so that its nutritional value is not destroyed.
